Michał Nesterowicz makes his debut with the Gewandhausorchester on 12 April in a programme featuring Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5, Kinderreime und Nonsensverse by Jörg Widmann, and Lutoslawski’s Mala Suita. The vocal ensemble Amarcord are his soloists for the Widmann and the programme will be repeated on 13 April.

ENTREVISTA A MICHAL NESTEROWICZ “Tal y como pasa en una orquesta, la solución en Catalunya es escuchar y hablar”

This week Michał Nesterowicz debuts with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, conducting concerts in Haarlem (6 October), Antwerp (9 October) and two concerts at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (7 and 8 October). The programme is Mendelssohn’s Athalie Suite, Bruch’s Violin Concerto with Renaud Capuçon and Dvořák’s Symphony No.6. 

This follows on from a successful debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra last season, and is the first of many important European debuts this season. These include his debut with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Bruckner Orchester Linz.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ DEBUTS WITH NETHERLANDS PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Michał Nesterowicz returns to conduct the Singapore Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 19 August. 

Michał conducts Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 with pianist Anna Tsybuleva, and Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome.

He recently made his debut with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in two concerts on 9 and 10 August. Michał conducted Smetana’s Má vlast, Rautavaara’s Incantations with percussion soloist Eric Renick and Dvořák’s Symphony No.9.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ RETURNS TO THE SINGAPORE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 

This week Michał Nesterowicz makes his Viennese debut at he Musikverein with Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich in two concerts on the 1 and 2 April, followed by a concert in St. Pölten on the 3 April. 

Michał conducts Lutosławski’s Little Suite, Glazunov’s Violin Concerto with Alina Pogostkina and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.10. 

This is the third of a series of significant debuts in recent weeks, following on from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam and Konzerthausorchester Berlin.

Michał Nesterowicz makes his debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in performances of Bruckner’s Symphony No.1 and Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 with Lisa Batiashvili (the orchestra’s Artist in Residence for 2016/17) on 16 and 19 March (Amsterdam) and 17 March (Antwerp).

Stepping in for an indisposed Vladimir Jurowski, this is one of a series of notable debuts for Nesterowicz this season, including Berlin and Vienna (with the Konzerthausorchester and Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich respectively).

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ DEBUTS WITH ROYAL CONCERTGEBOUW ORCHESTRA

On the 19, 20 & 21 January Michał Nesterowicz makes his Berlin debut with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, joined by cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. The programme features Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 and Dvořák’s Symphony No.9.

In his first season as Principal Guest Conductor of Sinfonieorchster Basel, other notable debuts in 2016/17 include the Musikverein in Vienna (with the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich) and the Rudolfinum in Prague (with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra).

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ MAKES HIS BERLIN DEBUT

Michał Nesterowicz conducts the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra for the first time on 4 November at the Rudolfinum.

The programme features Lutosławski’s Little Suite and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5 as well as Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 with Lukáš Vondráček.

The concert is part of the Polish Independence Day celebrations and is presented in collaboration with the Embassy of Poland and the Polish Cultural Institute in Prague.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ DEBUTS WITH THE PRAGUE RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

For the beginning of 2016-2017 season, Michał Nesterowicz returns to the Residentie Orkest on 18 September for a performance at the Royal Concertgebouw’s Grote Zaal.

The programme includes a selection from Bizet’s L’Arlesienne and Carmen Suite as well as Schumann's Piano Concerto with soloist Alexander Lonquich.

This concert follows Nesterowicz’s hugely successful first collaboration with the orchestra last season.

Michał Nesterowicz conducts the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for the first time on 26 August at the Esplanade’s Concert Hall.

The programme features Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet: Fantasy Overture and Sibelius’ Symphony No.3. Also making his debut with the orchestra at the end of his Australasian tour is pianist Javier Perianes who performs Grieg’s Piano Concerto.

On 13 July Michał Nesterowicz makes his debut at Grant Park Music Festival.

Michał leads the orchestra in a programme that features Lutosławski’s Mala suita, Schumann’s Symphony No.4 and Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1 with Rachel Barton Pine as soloist. The performance takes place outdoors in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Millennium Park, Chicago, USA.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ IS GUEST CONDUCTOR AT GRANT PARK MUSIC FESTIVAL

Michał Nesterowicz returns to Hamburg to conduct the NDR-Elbphilharmonie Orchester in a series of concerts in the new Laeiszhalle, Hamburg (26 & 29 May) and Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck (27 May).

The programme includes Prokofiev’s Symphony No.5 and Grieg’s Piano Concerto with soloist Nikolai Tokarev.

These concerts follow Nesterowicz’s successful first collaboration with the orchestra last season.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ RETURNS TO NDR-ELBPHILHARMONIE ORCHESTER

Michał Nesterowicz conducts the Residentie Orkest for the first time this week in what will be his debut on Dutch soil.

They perform together at the recently opened Zuiderstrandtheater on 18 December with works by Prokofiev, Mozart and Mussorgsky, followed by concerts at De Doelen, Rotterdam (19) and TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht (20).

Nesterowicz returns to the Netherlands in February 2016 when he will join the Noord Nederlands Orkest for a six concert tour that includes a performance at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.

MICHAŁ NESTEROWICZ DEBUTS WITH RESIDENTIE ORKESTRA

Michał Nesterowicz leads the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya on tour to Lyon, with concerts on 20 and 21 November.

The programme features Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 with Nelson Freire as soloist, as well as Manuel de Falla’s El amor brujo and the Second Suite from El sombrero de tres picos.

Nesterowicz’s debut in Lyon comes shortly after his successful subscription debut with l’Orchestre national de Lille and his first performances as Principal Guest Conductor Designate of Sinfonieorchester Basel.
